Advanced Grouping Options – Group by Flow Path

Group by Flow Path is an advanced grouping feature that allows reporting of production simultaneously grouped by both well-level User Data and facility-level User Data. It allows you to answer questions like, "how much production from a well goes through a specific facility"? In this example, wells and facilities have User Data of ‘Well_Group’ and ‘Facility_Group’ defined as per the diagram below:

A two-level Report Group must be defined with a facility-level User Data as the Level 1 Group and a well-level User Data as the Level 2 Group.

Selecting the Group by Flow Path option with a Two-Level Report Group will report results grouped by both well and facility User Data.

Selecting ‘Show Group Flow Path’ will breakdown the results to show the individual Level 1 nodes i.e., each facility.

As can be done without Group by Flow Path, selecting ‘Show Asset Detail’ will further breakdown the results to show the individual Level 2 nodes i.e., each well.

When reporting at a specific facility, a single-level Report Group, i.e., Well_Group, may be used with Group by Flow Path to report results at that facility, grouped by the inflowing wells’ User Data.

Using Group by Flow Path with a single-level Report Group at the Scenario and selecting ‘Show Group Flow Path’ will report results broken down by the first node wells are connected to.
